Wat Sri Sunthorn sanctuary is located in Thalang region near the Phuket Heroines Monument. Wat Sri Sunthorn sanctuary is named after one of the two champions, Thao Sri Sunthon. This sanctuary is typically a calm spot with only a couple of local people paying admiration to Buddha. It is home to the biggest leaning back Buddha picture in Phuket. You can go up the stairs at the back of the working to get a nearby view.

Wat Sri Sunthorn (Lipon) is in Tambol Sri Sunthorn, Thalang, only a liitle facilitate north as you head along Tepkassatree Road while in transit to the Airport and a short drive from Wat Pra Nang Sang and Wat Pratong. Frankly I am not certain if the sanctuary is named after the "tambol" or is named after one of the courageous women - I think perhaps the tambol was named after the heoine and afterward the sanctuary named after the tambol.

There were a few structures in Wat Sri Sunthorn sanctuary ground and loads of statues. The principle Wat has been shut on the events I have gone by, however on top of another building is a tremendous leaning back Buddha which can be seen from the street as you drive past. The passage to the sanctuary has as of late been augmented - it used to be obvious just down a restricted track through the trees.
