The shoreline is perfect and is surrounded by headlands at either end. I realize that in the high season you can get some average snorkeling off the shoreline. When I arrived (a hot low season day) the sand was excessively hot, making it impossible to stroll on. Little back rub shacks were benefiting a business and there were a reasonable number of individuals on the shoreline and a couple of surfers attempting to get a wave.
