Phuket's celebrated Kata Beach is really comprised of two primary shorelines, the Club Med ruled Kata Yai Beach and the Kata Thani ruled Kata Noi Beach. Kata shoreline is around 17 kilometers from Phuket Town. It confronts the Andaman Sea. There are two neighboring shorelines called Kata Yai and Kata Noi.

Of the 3 "principle" shorelines in Phuket, Kata is thought to be the calmest, however I figure Karon is pretty much as tranquil since everything is more spread out. Kata Beach, strangely is the place (similarly as I probably am aware) mass tourism began in Phuket, with the opening of the Club Med resort in 1985. Club Med is still there and takes up an extensive area of the area before the shoreline, however not really on the shoreline - there is a little shoreline street between the resort and the sand.

Kata Beach is around 47 kilometers from Phuket International Airport. Kata Beach is around a half-hour via auto and a hour by nearby transport served at Downtown Market station. Kata Beach is around 10 kilometers from Patong Beach by intersection the Karon slope and passing Karon Beach.
